Room Policies

  • Food: You may  bring a nutritious snack and lunch to school each day with a juice box or water bottle. Some healthy suggestions are crackers, dry cereal, fish crackers, cereal bars, yogurt and fruit.  We also have a lunch program, Laurie's 909 Catering, that you may order from daily. Please note we are a peanut free school.

Illness:  Any child with obvious symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or any other contagious virus must remain at home. A child with illnesses such as these will find it difficult to participate in daily activities and may be contagious to other children. Please contact the school if your child will be absent.

Birthdays: On your child birthday you or any other special person in your child's life may come in and read a book to the class. This book should be selected by your child and will be dedicated to Saint Joseph's ECP in honor of their birthday. The book can be a book from home, a used book, or a brand new book. These books will remain in the ECP classroom for your children to enjoy. This is a great way for your child to share their stories with their friends!

Extra Clothes: Please bring in an extra change of cloths. Include pants, shirt, underwear, and socks. Place cloths in a Ziploc bag with your child's name on it. If we need to use these clothes, please wash and return them the next day your child comes in.

Snow Days: We follow the Saint Joseph School snow day procedure. When Saint Joseph School closes, you will be notified through the school newsletter and website. The announcement will also be made on Channel 5.

Labels: Please label EVERYTHING that comes to school. Include backpacks lunchboxes, coats, sweaters, mittens and hats.

Parent Communication: We are always available to discuss your child's progress. The best time for discussions is at pick-up. We are also available by phone (781-245-0796 or 781-245-2081) or email (earlychildhood@stjosephschoolwakefield.org).
