This week flew by.  We are still working hard to complete all our tasks.  I can’t believe there are only 7½ more days left in this school year.  We had a great year together and I will miss these students immensely.

The Poets’ Tea was fabulous, thanks to the many parents who helped us with transporting and setting up in the hall and then bringing everything back.  The students did a great job!

We will finish up our reading and math curriculums next week and have the assessments on Friday.  We got rid of our homework baggies today.  Yay, no more homework!  We will have a spelling bee on June 10th, so students should study the word list that was sent home.

The students will continue to write about each other so everyone has a book about themselves before the end of the year.

We are also working on completing our states’ booklets.  Is your child serenading you with the  states’ song?

Thank you, Mrs. Santiago, for teaching us how to sign our names and how to sign some phrases so we can communicate with a person who may be deaf.

Field day is next Wednesday.  I will send home the orange t-shirts on Tuesday so they can wear them to school on Wednesday.  We are busy signing them.  I need  a couple of volunteers to help fill up water balloons.  Please let me know if you can help and I will send them home on Monday.  They should be dropped off at Moulton Park in the morning of

Field Day.  Your child should bring a water bottle, a towel to sit on when we have lunch, and a snack.  These can be packed in their backpacks so they can be easily brought back and forth.  We will come back to school after we have lunch and watch a movie.

Last day of wearing uniforms is next Friday.  Casual clothes may be worn on June 9th and 10th. Dress up clothes must be worn on the last day of school, June 11th, because we will be attending the end of the school year liturgy.  Dismissal will be at 11:20.

Lastly, on Tuesday, June 10th, we will have a walking field trip to Cravings where we will enjoy our last full day together by having ice cream, my treat!  We will walk down after lunch.  Hopefully, the weather will cooperate for our walk.

    Have a great weekend!
